Beautiful Cushions
I have always loved anything to do with creating - be it cooking , painting , woodwork or pottery and sewing .
But sewing has been my stand out choice - My Mother was my inspiration from an early age she would re purpose her Retro dresses for my sister and I . I loved them !
One stand out creation was a lolly pink and white fabric which she made into a midriff top and shorts with white pom poms on the hems. I thought this was absolutely the best outfit I had every had .
This probably explains my love of pom poms ,' My Frida Kahlo' cushions can attest to this - it adds to the fun , colour and spirit of Mexico .
I love colour - a feast to the eyes is how I like to explain it !
I made my children's clothes as they grew up , they always loved some thing Mum made !
Hunting for fabrics is a one of my interests , so many beautiful fabrics , my love are natural fibres be it linen , cotton , silks , bamboo ( if I can obtain it .)
Anything tactile with a slub is my preference.
